Great interest in the Cultivation Academy courses in Vetlanda municipality
In early February, Astrid Lindgren's Hometown invited people to an information evening about preparedness and preparedness cultivation in Vetlanda. One of the goals of the evening was to identify a group of people somewhere in Vetlanda municipality who wanted to learn more about cultivation in order to eventually form a local cultivation group. We found not just one, but three groups in the municipality!
On three Saturdays during the spring, our experienced grower and course leader Eva Ekenberg taught a total of nearly 40 people interested in growing in Ädelfors, Björköby and Vetlanda – of all ages! The youngest were three babies and their mothers, the oldest were deepening their knowledge to be able to grow together with their grandchildren. And then everyone in between! During the Easter break, Eva also visited Björköby for leisure and talked about growing, soil and biodiversity with the leisure children who will be investing in pumpkin growing in the village!
The interest and commitment has been great. All evaluations show that our full-day course provides both in-depth knowledge and understanding, regardless of whether you are a beginner or have grown before. And the vast majority want to learn even more!
The hope is that the training will provide a foundation for future cultivations in Vetlanda municipality.
