What are leader checks?
A leader check is a small grant that can be applied for by associations, organizations and companies. The leader checks can have different themes, but what they have in common is that they are applied for directly through Astrid Lindgren's Hometown. Below you can see which leader checks we are currently offering. The application is made via the form on the page for each umbrella project.
To make it easier for you as an applicant, we have produced a handbook. It contains practical advice for those who have received a leader check.
Ready
In the preparedness project Redo, associations can apply for support for initiatives within preparedness. The opportunity to apply is available by municipality in different rounds. During the spring of 2026, municipalities in the Jönköping Region can apply and in the autumn of 2026, applications will open for other municipalities.
Living countryside
In the umbrella project Living Rural Areas, associations can apply for support for initiatives in skills development.
