Call for proposals – closed on April 15, 2024

Astrid Lindgren's Hometown opened up the opportunity to apply for a leader check within our umbrella project: Attractive Rural Areas.

Who could apply?

Non-profit associations, organizations and local groups that operate in Astrid Lindgren's Hometown, that is:
Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre and part of Oskarshamn municipality.

What could one seek support for?

The idea would lead to creating or further developing a sustainable meeting place or developing a new leisure and cultural activity. Development can look in many different ways and we took part in various exciting ideas and thoughts that could strengthen and further develop local associations.

For example, you could seek support for equipment and materials for the project, but note that a leader check may not be used for investment costs. The definition of investment is a cost of over 24,000 SEK excluding VAT or 30,000 SEK including VAT and which has a lifespan of more than three years. Read more about this under Terms and Conditions.

Terms

We have compiled more detailed information about what you could apply for support for and other practical information in the document below.

Logos

If you produce any kind of information within the project, you must display our logo and the EU co-financing logo in the material. If you as a beneficiary have a website and social media, you must display our logo and the EU co-financing logo there. Read more about what applies in the document: Terms and conditions.
Below you will find the logos that you can download and use on your material or on your website.

How much could one seek?

The maximum amount you could apply for support from us was SEK 40,000.
However, your budget could exceed 40,000 SEK if you had other financing. For those who had a project with a budget over 40,000 SEK, it was important to remember that our financing could not be less than 40 % of the project's total budget. This is because the Swedish Board of Agriculture has as a rule not to pay out support below 40 % of the total budget. In other words, your total budget could not exceed 100,000 SEK.

How did you apply?

You applied via the application form and budget template.
We asked you to be careful to fill in all the information requested in the application form. Applications that were not completely filled out did not qualify for Leader support. We asked you to describe clearly what you wanted to do in the project and to consider that someone who had no prior knowledge of your business and idea would understand the application.

We would like to receive your application no later than April 15, 2024.

When will we hear back?

You will be notified whether you were granted support or not by June 14, 2024.
