Astrid Lindgren's Hometown is now opening up the opportunity to apply for a leader check within our umbrella project Living Rural Areas.
Who can apply?
Non-profit associations, organizations and local groups that operate in Astrid Lindgren's Hometown, that is:
Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre and part of Oskarshamn municipality.
What can you seek support for?
The idea should lead to the creation of a new sustainable meeting place, leisure and cultural activity or a new educational opportunity through skills development.
Development can take many different forms. We welcome ideas that strengthen community, commitment and faith in the future in local associations.
For example, you can seek support for:
- Lecturer or educational efforts
- Marketing the activity
- Equipment and materials related to the project
Please note that a leader check may not be used for investments. Read more about this in the Terms and Conditions document.
Read more about sample expenses in the Expense Information document below.
How much can you apply for?
You can apply for support for an amount between SEK 10,000 and SEK 40,000. The maximum amount you can apply for is SEK 40,000.
Your total budget must not exceed SEK 100,000.
If the budget exceeds SEK 40,000, you will need other financing. The Leader grant must then constitute at least 40% of the project's total budget, according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture's rules.
