Welcome to after work inside the gates at Maria Andersson's in Saxemåla, Lönneberga.

Friday, October 23, drop-in from 3:00 PM.
We will light the fire around 3:30 PM and finish around 6:00 PM.

We will make biochar from branches, twigs from the farm, that is, transform a by-product into valuable soil improvement.

By carbonizing the material in an oxygen-poor environment, the biochar becomes more porous than regular charcoal and full of cavities.
The charcoal is then charged with nutrients (usually urine, nettle water, or bokashi) that plants can absorb when they need it.

Biochar contributes to living soil and helps the ground not to dry out as quickly.
Unlike compost and manure, which break down in a few years, biochar remains in the soil, binds carbon in the ground, and improves the structure for hundreds of years.

During the workshop, you will learn how to make biochar, and after extinguishing, you will have the opportunity to take home a few liters.
Bring your own bucket for transport.

During the work session, there will be an opportunity to buy and grill sausages at cost price.
