APPLICATION FOR LEADER CHECK - Sustainable Entrepreneurship

Information for you who want to apply for a check from the umbrella project Sustainable Entrepreneurship. The application is open for small businesses (up to 50 employees) from Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre, and part of Oskarshamn municipality.

The application is for small businesses that want to develop their operations in a sustainable way and create new employment and/or a new product or service. You need to collaborate with at least one other organization (it can be an association, a company, or the public sector).

Max one application per company.

Leader check is suitable for carrying out projects of smaller scope. It is possible to apply for support between 10,000 and 40,000 SEK excluding private co-financing. To receive a leader check, you need to contribute at least 30% private co-financing of the project's total budget.

The support from us must at the same time correspond to at least 40% of the total project budget, according to the rules of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

This means that your total project budget can be up to 100,000 kronor, provided that you have sufficient co-financing.

Completed and reported no later than: 2027-06-30

Things to consider when you apply:

• Answer briefly and clearly to the questions - quality over quantity.
• Specify exact amounts for all costs based on the cost documentation you have prepared, as these are the figures on which the decision is based.
• Obtain quotes for costs as far as possible and attach them to the application. We do not approve quotes or work to be performed by close relatives.
• Set a reasonable project duration. All costs must arise after the application and be paid before the end date.
• All material produced in the project (for example, printed materials, mailings, websites) must contain correct logos for the EU fund and Leader. Read more under the document Conditions on the website or contact Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd regarding which rules apply.
• Attach a document showing who or who are authorized signatories in the company. The document must not be older than one year.
• If you provide a bank account number for payments, attach a bank statement.

It is not possible to receive support to finance:

• Regular operations or ongoing maintenance.
• Salary costs or personal work.
• Costs incurred before the application was submitted (we cannot provide support retroactively).
• Investments – investment costs for physical or intangible assets (such as patents, licenses, and software) over 24,000 SEK excluding VAT or 30,000 SEK including VAT and which have a lifespan of more than three years. Connections to investments are also included in the investment cost, such as shipping, assembly, earthworks, consulting fees, etc. For questions, contact Astrid Lindgren's Home District.

Which of these municipalities will the project affect?
Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd includes the municipalities: Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre, and part of Oskarshamn municipality.

Project period
Keep in mind to set a reasonable project time. You should have completed the project, paid all costs, and submitted the final report to the leader office within your project time, but no later than 2027-06-30.
The start date is the date when Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd has received the application. You can start the project and incur costs from the start date. Note that starting before approval is done at your own risk, as support cannot be guaranteed before a decision is made.

How long has the business existed, main purposes, number of members, challenges/background that led to this project, etc.

Is the project something beyond your regular activities?
Support cannot be granted for regular activities or ongoing operations. The project needs to involve some form of development that is not part of your usual activities.

What do you plan to do in the project, why do you want to do this, and what should it lead to?

What is the project's goal?
Describe as concretely as possible what you want to achieve, that is, what should be implemented related to the costs you are seeking support for. The goal needs to be measurable, for example, the number of activities. For example, the goal could be to attend a training, make a study visit, or develop a new product/service in order to develop the company.

Have you applied for or been granted other support for the same purpose or similar activities?

Are any permits/approvals/contracts required to carry out the project?
For example, police permits for public gatherings.

If yes, which?

Will the project be carried out even without the support you are seeking here?

Note that Astrid Lindgren's Home District cannot provide support for projects that will be carried out even without support.

Justify why the requested support is needed.

Does the project contribute to ecological, economic, and/or social sustainability?
Briefly describe how the project contributes to one or more of the areas below.

Ecological sustainability is about considering the environment and climate, for example by reducing unnecessary resource use, choosing environmentally friendly alternatives, or avoiding unnecessary transport and emissions.

Example:

• The activity is held locally to reduce travel
• Digital information instead of printed material
• Carpooling or public transport during study visits
• Materials that are reused or borrowed

Economic sustainability is about using money and resources thoughtfully, so that the project stays within budget, uses existing resources, or provides benefits even after the project's end.

Example:

• Borrow or reuse premises or materials
• Share resources with partners
• Develop materials or knowledge that can be used even after the project

Social sustainability is about the project being open and welcoming to different people, and that everyone has the opportunity to participate on equal terms.

Example:

• The activity is open to both women and men
• Time, place, or format allows more people to participate
• Consideration of different needs (for example, accessible premises)
• Special efforts for groups that otherwise rarely participate

Which organization or organizations will you collaborate with, and how will you collaborate?

You need to collaborate with at least one other organization (association, company, or public sector). Collaboration means that you do something together with another organization that helps move the project forward. This does not apply to suppliers you purchase services from. Please show the collaboration by attaching an email conversation or similar confirmation.

What happens after the project's end?

Describe, for example, who will benefit from the project in the long term and how you will utilize the results.

Are you required to report VAT for the sub-activity?
If yes, the VAT should not be included in the costs.
If no, the VAT should be included in the costs.

Expenses

Beskriv vilka utgifter ni planerar att ha i projektet och hur ni har räknat fram beloppen. Ni får ange max 5 utgifter per projekt.

Viktigt! För varje utgift ska ni bifoga minst två jämförbara prisunderlag. Exempelvis offerter eller skärmklipp från webbutiker där webbadressen, produkt, pris, moms och leverantör tydligt framgår. Detta behöver vi för att kunna bedöma att kostnaderna är rimliga och att projektets pengar används på ett bra sätt.

Vi godkänner inte offerter eller kostnader för arbeten som ska utföras av nära anhöriga.

Samla med fördel underlagen i en fil och namnge dem tydligt. Exempel finns på vår hemsidan. Observera att länkar till webbsidor inte godkänns som prisunderlag.

För vissa utgifter används fasta schablonbelopp:
• Fika: 60 kr/deltagare exkl. moms (67 kr/deltagare inkl. moms)
• Lunch/middag: 100 kr/deltagare exkl. moms (112 kr/deltagare inkl. moms)
• Milersättning: 40 kr/mil

För dessa utgifter ska ni bifoga deltagarlistor med namn och motiv till utgifterna. För fika ska ni även styrka de faktiska utgifterna med faktura eller kvitto samt betalningsbevis. För milersättning ska ni lämna in körjournal (mall finns hos Jordbruksverket).

Will the project lead to revenue during the project period?

If you will have revenue linked to the project's costs, describe them and estimate how much. Examples of revenue include participant fees, entrance fees, sales, rentals, etc. Keep in mind that if revenue exceeds expectations, the granted support may be reduced.

Volunteer time

Eventuell arbetstid som läggs i projektet utan betalning. Det är inte ett krav att delaktiviteten innehåller ideell tid. Ska inte redovisas som kostnad.

Financing

Ni kan söka upp till 40 000 kronor i stöd exklusive privat medfinansiering. För att få en leadercheck behöver ni själva bidra med minst 30 % privat medfinansiering av projektets totala budget.

Vårt stöd måste motsvara minst 40 % av projektets totala budget och kan inte överstiga 40 000 kronor. Detta beror på att Jordbruksverket inte betalar ut stöd som ligger under 40 %, eftersom man då bedömer att projektet skulle kunna genomföras utan stöd. Det innebär att projektets totala budget kan vara högst 100 000 kronor.
