APPLICATION FOR LEADER CHECK – The Redo emergency preparedness project

Information for you who want to apply for a check from the preparedness project Redo. The application is open for associations and organizations from Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre, and part of Oskarshamn municipality. Please note that we in this project accept applications by municipality, refer to updated information on the website for when we accept applications from your municipality.
The application is for associations and organizations that in various ways want to strengthen their preparedness.
Max one application per association/organization.
A leader check is suitable for carrying out projects of smaller scope. It is possible to apply for support between 10,000 and 25,000 SEK.

Things to consider when you apply:

• Answer briefly and clearly to the questions - quality over quantity.
• Specify exact amounts for all costs based on the cost documentation you have prepared, as these are the figures on which the decision is based.
• Obtain quotes/price information for the costs as far as possible and attach them to the application. We do not approve quotes or work to be performed by close relatives.
• Set a reasonable project timeline. All costs must arise after the application has been submitted and be paid before the end date.
• All material produced in the project (for example, printed materials, mailings, websites) must contain correct logos for the EU fund and Leader. Read more under the document conditions on the website or contact Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd regarding which rules apply.
• Attach documentation (for example, minutes from the constitutive meeting) that shows who or which individuals are authorized signatories in the association. The documentation must not be older than one year.
• If you provide a bank account number for payment, attach a bank statement.

It is not possible to receive support to finance:

• Regular operations or ongoing maintenance.
• Salary costs or personal work.
• Costs incurred before the application was submitted (we cannot provide support retroactively).
• Investments – investment costs physical or intangible (such as patents, licenses, and software) over 24,000 kronor excluding VAT or 30,000 kronor including VAT and which have a lifespan of more than three years.
• Connections to investments are also included in the investment cost, such as freight, assembly, earthworks, consulting fees, etc. For questions, contact Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd.

Which of these municipalities will the project affect?
Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd includes the municipalities: Aneby, Eksjö, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kinda, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Vimmerby, Ydre, and part of Oskarshamn municipality.

Project period
Remember to set a reasonable project period. You must have completed the project, paid all costs, and submitted the final report to the leader office within your project period, but no later than 2027-01-31.
The start date is the date when Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd received the application. You can start the project and incur costs from the start date. Please note that this is done at your own risk, as support cannot be guaranteed before a decision is made.

Briefly describe your activities and why you want to carry out this initiative?

Briefly describe how long your organization has existed, what you mainly work with, and how many members you have. Please explain the background or challenges that have led to the current project. If you have started working on a preparedness plan, this can be briefly described here.

Is the project something beyond your regular activities?
Support cannot be granted for regular activities or ongoing operations. The project needs to involve some form of development that is not part of your usual activities.

Briefly describe the project idea and what the purpose is
What do you plan to do in the project, why do you want to do this, and what should it lead to?

What is the project's goal?
Describe as concretely as possible what you want to achieve, that is, what will be implemented related to the costs you are seeking support for. The goal needs to be measurable, for example, the number of activities. For instance, the goal could be to organize a lecture evening or a study visit aimed at increasing knowledge in a certain area.

Have you applied for or been granted other support for the same purpose or similar activities?

Are any permits/approvals/contracts required to carry out the project?
For example, police permits for public gatherings.

Will the project be carried out even without the support you are seeking here?

Justify why the requested support is needed.

Will you collaborate with others and how will the collaboration look?

Collaboration is an important part of the leader method and something that strengthens the project's implementation and long-term results. You may already be collaborating with an organization from before, for example, an association, a company, or a public sector actor.

A collaboration means that you do something together that contributes to driving the project forward, and it differs from suppliers from whom you only purchase services.

What happens after the project's end?

Describe, for example, who will benefit from the project in the long term and how you will utilize the results.

Are you required to report VAT for the sub-activity?
If yes, the VAT should not be included in the costs.
If no, the VAT should be included in the costs.

Costs

Describe what costs you estimate to have in the project and explain how you arrived at them. Max 5 expenses per project. Attach documentation that supports the costs to your application (e.g., what price comparisons you have made or quotes you have received). We do not approve quotes or work to be performed by close relatives. Preferably gather the documents in a file and name them clearly (examples are available on the website). Note that links cannot constitute documentation.

For certain expenses, standard costs are used:
- Coffee break: 60 SEK/participant excl. VAT (67 SEK/participant incl. VAT)
- Lunch/dinner: 100 SEK/participant excl. VAT (112 SEK/participant incl. VAT)
- Mileage reimbursement: 40 SEK/mile

For these expenses, you must attach participant lists with names and justification for the expenses. For coffee breaks, you must also verify the expenses with an invoice or receipt and proof of payment. For mileage reimbursement, you need to submit a driving log (template available from the Swedish Board of Agriculture).

Will the project lead to revenue during the project period?

If you will have revenue linked to the project's costs, describe them and estimate how much. Examples of revenue include participant fees, entrance fees, sales, rentals, etc. Keep in mind that if revenue exceeds expectations, the granted support may be reduced.

Volunteer time

Working time spent on the project without payment. Should not be reported as a cost.

Please note that Astrid Lindgren's Home District prioritizes projects that demonstrate at least 10 hours of volunteer time.

Financing

You can apply for up to 25,000 kronor in support, with 100% financing.

This means that you do not need to contribute your own money if the project's costs are 25,000 kronor or lower.

If the project's total costs exceed 25,000 kronor, our share of the financing must be at least 40% of the total budget. This is because the Swedish Board of Agriculture does not pay out support that is below 40%, as it is then assessed that the project could be carried out without support.
