Irrigation system Furulid
Aneby SK is granted funds for a new irrigation system that in a sustainable way will be able to water the fields with rainwater from the existing football hall. The football hall is built with an eco-think and the automated irrigation is done at night. The club will through this investment be able to utilize the football fields more and will start up more girls' teams and walking football for seniors. The football fields are also used by the nearby school.
About the project
Aneby SK is granted money from Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd to construct a new irrigation system for the football fields at Furulids IP. The fact that the club has thought sustainably and long-term in the construction of the large indoor hall, where they have planned to utilize rainwater, in a form of a recycling system with its own pond for irrigation, is something that the board sees as very positive and something that affects the assessment of the project.
The water used for irrigation comes from the pond. No municipal water is used for irrigation.
The applicant has stated in their goals that they will start up 4 new activities as part of the project. These are described as walking football for seniors and 3 new girls' teams. The club has a high demand for playing times and describes how the new irrigation system frees up playing time, about 10-15 hours per week.
