The associations' house Fågelfors
The project aims to provide about ten local associations in Högsby municipality with knowledge, common working methods, and structures to jointly establish and sustainably run a community house in a former school. Through study visits, five training sessions, and the development of common routines, collaboration between the associations is strengthened and the conditions for a vibrant and inclusive meeting place in Fågelfors are improved.
About the sub-activity
The sub-activity aims to provide about ten local associations with knowledge and common working methods to jointly establish and sustainably run an association house in a former school. The need has arisen due to the decrease in access to association premises in the area while the former school building remains unused.
The association house will provide the associations with a common meeting place where they can conduct and develop their activities as well as collaborate and share resources. Within the sub-activity, at least one study visit to an established association house will be conducted to gain insights and good examples. Additionally, five joint training sessions or lectures will be held on topics such as operations and maintenance, association collaboration, organization, finance, and activity development. The associations will also develop common routines and systems for example booking, division of responsibilities, and practical maintenance of the premises.
Through the initiative, the associations' competence and collaboration are strengthened while existing premises and other local resources can be used more effectively. In the long term, the association house should contribute to more activities, increased community, and a vibrant and inclusive meeting place for the residents in the area.

About the umbrella project
A vibrant countryside is created by people who want to develop the place where they live and work. With the umbrella project Living Rural Areas, Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd aims to give associations and organizations the opportunity to harness local ideas and acquire the knowledge needed to implement them in practice.
Through leader checks of 10,000–40,000 kronor, local actors can carry out skills development initiatives that contribute to creating new leisure and cultural activities, meeting places, or training opportunities.
Granted leader support
Högsby municipality is granted a leader check of 30,537 kronor for the initiative.
The project's total budget is 30,537 kronor.
The Leader support consists of funding from the EU, the state and the municipalities of Astrid Lindgren's Hometown.
