Guided bus tour during the Farm Round 2026
Nässjö municipality wants to conduct three guided bus tours during the Gårdsrundan 2026 to make the municipality's local food producers and countryside more accessible. Participants will visit producers and simultaneously learn more about local food production, attractions, history, and the countryside through guidance during the trips.
About the sub-activity
The sub-activity aims to make the Farm Round 2026 more accessible and at the same time increase knowledge about local food production and the supply in Nässjö municipality's countryside.
Nässjö municipality plans to conduct three guided bus tours to farms, producers, and processors participating in the Farm Round within the municipality. The bus tours will particularly provide opportunities for individuals who lack a car or otherwise have difficulty traveling between the destinations to participate. During the trips, visits to local producers will be combined with guidance about the countryside, local businesses, attractions, and historical sites along each route.
Through meetings between producers and consumers, participants will gain increased knowledge about local food production and the importance of shopping and consuming locally. The activity is carried out in collaboration with participating farms and producers, who, together with the municipality, contribute to the planning of the visits, the shared hosting, and the marketing.
The initiative will simultaneously strengthen local businesses through increased exposure and more sales opportunities, as well as contribute to more sustainable travel through shared bus transport. In the long term, the ambition is to increase awareness and pride in the municipality's local offerings and create conditions for more visits, new collaborations, and future initiatives around locally produced food.

About the umbrella project
A vibrant countryside is created by people who want to develop the place where they live and work. With the umbrella project Living Rural Areas, Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd aims to give associations and organizations the opportunity to harness local ideas and acquire the knowledge needed to implement them in practice.
Through leader checks of 10,000–40,000 kronor, local actors can carry out skills development initiatives that contribute to creating new leisure and cultural activities, meeting places, or training opportunities.
Granted leader support
Nässjö municipality is granted a leader check of 16,750 kronor for the initiative.
The project's total budget is 16,750 kronor.
The Leader support consists of funding from the EU, the state and the municipalities of Astrid Lindgren's Hometown.
