HVGF Gymnastics Development
Vetlanda Gymnastics Association is investing in increased accessibility and joy of movement through the project HVGF Gymnastics Development, which enables new forms of training for both children, young people and adults.
About the project
HVGF Gymnastics Development – more opportunities for the joy of movement in Vetlanda
Vetlanda Gymnastics Association has been granted support for the project. HVGF Gymnastics Development, which aims to develop and expand the association's operations. Through the project, the association wants to create more and better conditions for its members to practice gymnastics in a safe and inspiring environment.
In connection with the construction of a new sports hall by Vetlanda Municipality, the gymnastics association will rent space in the new facility. The new hall gives the association better opportunities to develop its operations and accommodate more gymnasts. In addition, there is collaboration with other nearby gymnastics associations, which strengthens the entire region's gymnastics offering. The initiative means that active people no longer need to travel to larger cities to be able to train more advanced gymnastics - something that both saves time, strengthens the community and makes it easier to grow as a gymnast at home.
With expanded training opportunities, more children and young people are given the chance to participate in organized physical activity. The project also opens up to new groups – such as seniors and people with functional variations – by allowing the training to be adapted to different needs. In this way, gymnastics becomes accessible to more people and contributes to a more inclusive club life. The club has also received support from the Werner Foundation for the purchase of other equipment for the gymnastics activities.
The goal of the project
The concrete goal of the project is to purchase an adjustable jumping pit mattress that allows for both greater variation in training and better safety during exercises.
Activities in the project
The planned activities are to procure and install the height-adjustable jumping pit mattress in the association's new training hall. The investment will be an important step in further developing gymnastics in Vetlanda - to the delight of both today's and tomorrow's gymnasts.
