About the project
Kaffeladan builds new bakery – investment for development and sustainable growth
The Kaffeladan in Björköby has quickly established itself as a popular excursion destination and an important meeting place in the countryside. With several thousand visitors per season, demand for its own range has increased rapidly – which has now led to an investment in building a new, purpose-built bakery.
The project aims to improve production conditions by creating a more functional and professional bakery environment. The new bakery will give Kaffeladan the opportunity to broaden its product range, including by starting to bake bread on site, while also creating a more sustainable and efficient work environment.
The investment includes both construction and investment in new equipment and is an important part of Kaffeladan's long-term development. In the long term, the project will also enable the hiring of staff. With support from Leader Astrid Lindgren's Hometown, this will be an investment in both local entrepreneurship and social sustainability - in line with the vision of attractive and vibrant rural areas.
