Meeting point Bruksvallen – Patio with roof
Storebro Sports Club has built a patio with a roof with seating for approximately 50 people in its project. This is aimed at meeting the needs of associations, school classes, companies, and other groups to have theoretical presentations, among other things, in connection with using the facility.
About the project
Meeting Place Bruksvallen – Patio with a roof, is a leader project run by Storebro Sports Club. At the turn of the year 2024, the association had around 460 members in a locality with about 1000 inhabitants. Please visit their website for more information.
The purpose of the project is to create a meeting place to meet the needs of associations, school classes, companies, and other groups to have theoretical presentations, among other things, in connection with using the facility. The facility includes, among other things, football fields, nature trails, outdoor gyms, paddle courts, and disc golf. The project has taken into account accessibility concerns and adapted the building for wheelchair users.
In the declarations of intent, collaboration with both schools and other associations has been demonstrated, which shows that the project is locally anchored.
Astrid Lindgren's Hometown decided to prioritize the project with the following justification:
Astrid Lindgren's Homeland prioritizes the project as the board believes that the project aligns with the strategy and the development efforts deemed important for creating attractive rural areas with meaningful leisure. The project contributes to developing a patio with a roof that becomes a new meeting place between generations and also for people with disabilities.
