Umbrella project Living Rural Areas
Living rural areas give associations and organizations the opportunity to develop new ideas for their community. Through leader checks for skills development, local forces can create new leisure and cultural activities, meeting places, and training opportunities, thereby contributing to more content, community, and vitality in the countryside.
About the project
A vibrant countryside is created by people who want to develop the place where they live and work. With the umbrella project Living Rural Areas, Astrid Lindgren's Hembygd aims to give associations and organizations the opportunity to harness local ideas and acquire the knowledge needed to implement them in practice.
Through leader checks of 10,000–40,000 kronor, local actors can carry out skills development initiatives that contribute to creating new leisure and cultural activities, meeting places, or training opportunities.
With simple support for smaller development initiatives, more ideas can have the chance to grow. The goal is to strengthen local engagement and create more opportunities for activity and community in our rural areas, especially for children and young people.
