Sunday, August 23, from 14:00 to 16:00 the project is organizing a study visit to Bolsgården, in the village of Skärbäck outside Ramkvilla in Vetlanda municipality.
Bolsgården is a small ecological farm in the village of Skärbäck in Vetlanda municipality. The farm's focus is on seed production and testing activities.
Here there is a vegetable cultivation of about 2000 sqm, of which 200 sqm under tunnels, as well as fruit orchards, a forest garden, and a smaller new vineyard, as well as the sale of vegetable seeds.
Thursday, September 3, from 18:00 to 20:00 we will visit Trollslända Lunden, in Västra Årena, just outside Järnforsen in Hultsfred municipality.
Here, Anja and Tom Degen have established a forest garden, crops according to permaculture principles, and there is both a farm shop, tourist accommodation, a summer café, and parking spaces.
Sunday, September 6, starting at 10:00 we will make a full-day visit to Ödevata Gårdshotell, outside Emmaboda.
Here we will learn how Ödevata works to create a self-sustaining ecosystem. We will see examples of both permaculture and circular cultivation systems (aquaponics) and learn more about biochar and its use in soil, water purification, and cycles. We will also have the opportunity to try making biochar ourselves. The visit is organized in collaboration with Fobo Eksjö-Nässjö.
These study visits are suitable for you who want to learn more about cultivation on nature's terms – whether you are cultivating for self-sufficiency or if you run/have plans to start a business in the green sector. The study visits are also opportunities to meet like-minded individuals. You can join one or more visits.
