Safe playground
Safe Playground is a project owned by Målilla-Gårdveda Hembygdsförening. The aim is to design a safe and attractive playground, which can attract more visitors to the heritage park with its cultural and historical offerings. The initiative will also enable children with mobility impairments to use part of the playground.
About the project
Safe Playground is a leader project run by the Målilla-Gårdveda Hembygdsförening. The association was formed in 1943 and today has around 35 buildings in the Hembygdsparken located in Målilla. Please read more about them on their website.
The aim of the project is to design a safe and attractive playground, which can attract more visitors to the local history park with its cultural and historical offerings. The result will be a new meeting place where their target group is visitors such as children, parents, grandparents. The initiative will also enable children with mobility impairments to use part of the playground.
The local history association has, among other things, had contact with Målilla School at an early stage to get tips and ideas from the school children and teachers, and the project is well-rooted locally.
Astrid Lindgren's Hometown decided to prioritize the project with the following justification:
Astrid Lindgren's Hometown prioritizes the project as the board believes that the project is in line with the strategy and the development efforts that are considered important for creating attractive rural areas and a good environment for children and young people. The project contributes to strengthening and developing a local association that refines local resources.
